BRATISLAVA – Yosaria Plaza on the Corner of Tomášikova and Ružinovská in Bratislava - Construction Delayed
Construction was planned to commence in March. The centre will be the largest shopping mall in Slovakia. “Problems with a bank are the main reason behind the delay,” said Ivan Líška, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Yosaria Plaza. A loan was returned to a bank (the name of which he refused to disclose) and another bank is now being sought. He added that the delay is also attributable to modifications in project documentation which, however, is 90% complete. Building permits have already been obtained so work will probably commence in the autumn. Yosaria Plaza centre will comprise 250 retail stores, a supermarket, restaurants and offices. It should also feature a wellness and relaxation centre, ice rink, swimming pool, and saunas. Thousand-car capacity underground garages are planned. Yosaria Plaza will be completed in 2009.
